winter squash and onions piled upIn the past, the BRFM summer market has stayed open behind the high school through Thanksgiving. We’ve been asked by customers and vendors if we had considered ending the summer market sooner and starting the winter market earlier.

Our response was that many of our summer vendors who don’t participate during the winter would be left without a venue for selling the beautiful fall produce we have encourage them to grow for us.

Now, after a lot of thought and measurements, we think we have solved that problem. We are going to start our winter market early but bring our summer vendors along with us!

Our first market at Liter House this year will be on Saturday, November 9.  Our summer vendors will set up their booths in the north parking lot at the end closest to the Monon. The winter vendors will set up inside Liter House as usual.

It will be sort of an inside/out Market for the last three Saturdays before Thanksgiving, (11/9, 11/16, and 11/23). We will give up a few customer parking spaces for those three weeks, but we hope you will agree that this is a great compromise.
