Pedestrian and Vehicle Traffic at the Market
We’ve made a couple of adjustments to the parking area this week that we hope will make navigating the lot a bit easier. We have painted a crosswalk from the parking area to the Market entrance/exit on the east side of the lot and shifted the entrance/exit to the east so that pedestrian traffic can safely cross and vehicle traffic can move more freely.
Please also be aware of the crosswalk from the overflow parking at the Landmark’s Glendale 12 Theater on the west side of Rural north of the Market. If you are parking there, it will be much safer to use that crosswalk to reach the east side of the street where there is a sidewalk from the apartments down to the Market area.
Thank you all for your cooperation and patience. See the map here.

WHAT’S COOKING: Crave-worthy Carrots
One of my favorite memories (when my husband and I were dating), involves an Italian restaurant, and the amazing fried carrots that we had to order every time. I recently discovered a recipe that sounds deliciously similar to that romantic shared dish. With warmer weather finally here it’s time to get out and grill, and crispy carrot fries would go great with a juicy burger! Get the recipe.
MUSICAL GUEST: North – Thistle Sisters
We are pleased to have the Indianapolis-based folk duo of Julia Spangler and Bethany Walters (aka Thistle Sisters) back this week. Happy harmonies to serenade you while you shop.
MUSICAL GUEST: South – Nick Ivanovich
It’s always good to have the popular Nick Ivanovich at the Market with his traditional Ukrainian folk music-influenced songs full of alluring minor modes and sweet melodies. Come listen while you enjoy your breakfast!
Our musicians volunteer to perform at the Market,
so tips are much appreciated!
REST IN PEACE: Jack Cody of Jack’s Caramel Corn
As we were preparing for the last Winter Market and the start of the Summer Market, we received word of the sudden passing
due to a heart attack of BRFM vendor Jack Cody. Please keep his wife, family, and friends in your prayers.
