“Green beans” from Redwine Family Farms
VENDOR NEWS: August 26 – Fourth Saturday in August
VENDOR UPDATES
- Penrod Society volunteers are with us for their final week this Saturday selling advance-sale, half-price tickets to the Penrod Art Fair. Find them under the BRVA tent near the Market entrance.
- Weathered Plow will have in-shell lima beans again this week. They take a little work to shell but so worth the effort. So tender and creamy!
- This will be the last market of the season for Bloomer’s Greenhouse. Be sure to stop by and wish him a good winter and successful Purdue Football season.
VENDORS OUT AND OFF SCHEDULE
- Wild Alask Salmon & Seafood and Lumpia Creations are out this week.
- Apricot Sun is with us off-schedule (in her regular spot) with her Made-to-Order Pita Pockets, Hummus and Mediterranean seasonings.
- U-Relish is also with us off-schedule this week in space 13M.
- See our alphabetical Summer Vendor List for all our vendors with their regular schedules and offerings.
To find vendor locations at the Market, check the Vendor Map each week in this newsletter or scan the Vendor Map QR Code at the entrance to the market. The QR Code will take you to the Vendor Map on our website.
Remember to bring CASH in order to purchase from the few vendors who don’t take credit cards (Johnnie Raber Family Farm, Norman Mullet Farm, and Phelps Family Farm).Lost & Found items are turned in to the BRFM Information Tent – be sure to check there if you’ve lost something (coffee mugs, wallets, sunglasses) at the Market.

Watermelon SaladsHere are three versions of watermelon salad that make the best of the season. Try them all or take different ideas from each and make your own. All are simple, healthful, refreshing, and will stand alone for a light meal or pair with anything grilled (including the watermelon)!

JBJ Collective
Wow! These young men are so talented and their music has been wildly popular this summer. Braedan, and brothers Jaydon and JaSaun play an eclectic blend of jazz, R&B, funk, op, and improv that keeps everybody moving!
MUSICAL GUEST SOUTH:
Proctor & Strunk
Kevin Strunk & Mark Proctor play a wide variety of folk, country, bluegrass, and light rock covers as well as originals on guitar and mandolin. They’re always a big hit. Enjoy their music while you stroll the Market this Saturday!
Our musicians volunteer to perform at the Market,
so tips are much appreciated!
