Vendor Highlights for March 2, Week 1

Vendors News and Specials

  • Pots & Pans brings their new March line-up this week including Butterscotch and Black-bottomed Frangipane pies. Yum!!

Lost & Found items are turned in to the BRFM Information booth – be sure to check there if you’ve lost something (water bottles, wallets, kids’ stuff) at the Market.

Meat Pasties with Rutabagas

Pronounced pass-tees, the tasty little meat hand pies were brought to the Upper Peninsula by miners from Cornwall. Cornish pasties were a convenient way to take a meal for the day – meat and potatoes wrapped in pastry and ready to eat without utensils.

Check out the NEW Recipe Section on the BRFM website. Find it listed in Farmers Market drop down menu and in information about the Winter and Summer Markets. Easy to search for recipes by ingredient or type!

Nick Ivanovich

It’s always good to have the popular Nick Ivanovich at the Market with his traditional Ukrainian folk music-influenced songs full of alluring minor modes and sweet melodies. Come listen while you shop! Our musicians volunteer to perform at the Market, so tips are much appreciated!
