Highlights for June 8 – Week 2

Vendor News 
  • Look for snap peas, broccolini, baby carrots, tomatoes, rhubarb, lettuces, salad turnips, beets, potatoes, squash, eggplant, greens, herbs, and more. (We saw some raspberries at Redwine last Saturday!) Strawberries and asparagus for a couple more weeks.
  • Christopher Farm will have romaine lettuce. You can also find romaine at Full Hand Farm, Freedom Valley Farm, and Watch Us Farm. Pick some up for crisp summer salads!
  • Wildflower Ridge Honey has charcuterie starter kits to help with your summer charcuterie boards.
  • Tallow celebrates Pride Month with new rainbow Pride soap. A portion of the sales goes to Indiana Youth Group, an LBGTQIA+ support organization. Also introducing Mountain Mint soap (spearmint and eucalyptus).
Vendor Schedules 
  • Tailored Toddies and Home Ec are out this Saturday.
  • Dickinson Custom Woodworking is back from vacation this week.
  • Wild Alaska Salmon & Seafood also returns after being out for Memorial Day weekend.
  • And Lick Ice Cream will be back after missing week 4 of May.

Remember to bring CASH in order to purchase from the few vendors who don’t take credit cards (Norman Mullet Farm, Johnnie Raber Family Farm, and Phelps Family Farm).

Lost & Found items are turned in to the BRFM Information booth – be sure to check there if you’ve lost something (water bottles, wallets, kids’ stuff) at the Market.

WHAT’S COOKING: Crudite Dip for Vegetables

Seasonal veggies like radishes, carrots, snap peas, etc. are perfect for piling on a platter and munching on with an amazing crudite dip. Fresh vegetables with crudite dip is a classic for a reason and a delicious healthy starter for any summer meal.

MUSICAL GUEST: North – JBJ Collective

The JBJ Collective is a music group managed and led by brothers JaSaun and Jaydon Johnson, who play an eclectic mix of jazz, funk and, R&B music from the past and present to keep people moving and grooving.

MUSICAL GUEST: South – Nautilus

Nautilus is a fusion rock band that specializes in jamming/funk. They play everything from classic rock to bluegrass to jazz. Come and groove along with them while you dine and shop this Saturday.
