Vendor News and Updates
Garden time! Full Hand Farm is back this week with their cold tolerant bedding plants (herbs, flowers, and veggies). Norman Mullett Farm and Garcia’s Garden will also have their cold tolerant bedding plants available. Reminder – tomatoes and peppers are NOT cold tolerant so we’ll need to wait a few weeks for those.
- Circle City Smoke has a brand-new item – Smoked Spicy Salt! Thai chilis add a rich, almost chocolatey aroma!
- Phelps Family Farm has bratwurst back in stock!!
- Jason Michael Thomas‘s baguettes and focaccia are made from certified organic freshly stone-ground whole grain flour grown by the Wilken Family at Janie’s Mill in Ashkum, Illinois!
Vendors Out/Schedule Changes
- Lumpia Creations and Maplewood Farms are out this week – back on April 26.
- Wild Sage Tea is out this week, back off-schedule next week, April19.
To find vendor locations at the Market, check the newsletter Vendor Map each week or scan the Vendor Map QR Code at the entrance to the Market. Click here to see the complete list of our Winter Market vendors. The Vendor Map and Vendor list are also available on our website.
Remember to bring CASH in order to purchase from the few vendors who don’t take credit cards (Norman Mullet Farm and Phelps Family Farm).
Lost & Found items are turned in to the BRFM Information booth – be sure to check there if you’ve lost something (water bottles, wallets, kids’ stuff) at the Market.
WHAT’S COOKING:
Spinach and Gruyere Breakfast Casserole
This recipe takes advantage of so many fresh Market ingredients (eggs, spinach, leeks and crusty bread!)! And like any self-respecting breakfast casserole, you can make it a day ahead!! Check out the recipe here.
MUSIC AT THE MARKET:
Dan Kusaya
Danmore Kusaya is a one-man band — cool, likeable, and unique. His musical mix is world and afrobeat-groovy. Dan uses story-like lyrics, and powerful looping of several instruments while performing original songs and more. Come and sway to the vibe – he appeals to all ages including toddlers who will dance away the morning!! Our musicians volunteer to perform at the Market, so tips are much appreciated!
