On Wednesday, March 4, the Metropolitan Development Commission unanimously approved several zoning petitions by the development group proposing a new office project at 6201 North College Avenue. The project would become the national headquarters for the Eight Eleven Group, which was started in a Broad Ripple garage 20 years ago. Today, the Eight Eleven Group is the umbrella company to several rapidly growing tech staffing entities such as Brooksource.

Executive Director Colleen Fanning testified at the hearing, as the BRVA supported the petition after months of project modifications and collaboration between the developers and the Land Use and Development Committee (LUD). This project, which will add more than 250 high-wage jobs to the Broad Ripple core, could not be more important to the economic vitality of our neighborhood. Glenn Ross, owner of the Lincolnshire Apartments directly north of the project site, was the lone remonstrator.
