The Greatest Spectacle in Rubber Duck Racing!
It may not be the Indy 500, but it’s just as exciting to see which lucky duck (and human) takes the checkered flag. Join us this year on Saturday, June 1 for the Broad Ripple Duck Race + 5K presented by DAVID Electric and Eight Eleven Group.
This year’s event will also include a 5K and fun run through Broad Ripple Village prior to the event. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite duck gear and take off from the Team Rehabilitation Start Line at 10am! The Avenue Development Finish Line will take racers right to the Duck Race festival – FREE children’s activities set up on the Rainbow Bridge overlooking the Broad Ripple Canal on Guilford Avenue north of Westfield Boulevard for all to enjoy from 10am to 1pm. Make sure you head to the duck sales booth as soon as you get there to get your hands on a couple of the 3,000 rubber ducks that will race down the canal promptly at 12:30. The ducks will enter the water at the Hope Plumbing Start Line where the Monon trail crosses the Central Canal. The ducks then race west down the canal towards the Audiochuck Finish Line located by the pedestrian bridge near College Avenue.
Proceeds support BRVA programs and projects focused on enriching the community, amplifying public spaces, and improving quality of life in Broad Ripple.

The ducks launch from the Monon Trail bridge at 12:30 and travel west to the Pedestrian Bridge near College Avenue. There is plenty of space to watch the race on either side of the Central Canal between the Monon Trail Bridge, the Rainbow Bridge and College Avenue.
