Indianapolis, IN (March 14, 2017) – The Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) is hosting its first Membership Drive the month of April. They need participation from community members to build a stronger more sustainable association and community. Since 1969 the BRVA has been focused on fostering an authentic, inclusive and vibrant Cultural District and neighborhood. Membership dues are the organization’s primary source of operating funds. When residents or businesses become a member of the organization, they support the BRVA’s efforts to:
- Advocate for increased resources for public safety and infrastructure improvements
- Improve public spaces and connectivity
- Expand green space and public art
- Attract more unique, small and local businesses
- Organize community events like the Broad Ripple Farmers Market and Broad Ripple Historic Home Tour
Join the BRVA during its Membership Drive, taking place the entire month of April, and receive special benefits, including opportunities to win gift cards from Broad Ripple merchants and an invitation to a special celebration party. Use the hashtag #joinBRVA and get entered to win a prize. The Membership Drive is powered by volunteers. Volunteers will be helping the BRVA through a critical fundraising period. They will get an insider’s view of a community-based nonprofit and have the chance to meet other supporters who share their enthusiasm for community revitalization. Volunteers are needed for a phone bank on Monday, March 27 (morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available) and to distribute door hangers to the neighborhood on Saturday, April 1 (noon to 2 p.m.). Light food and drink will be provided and all volunteers will be invited to a volunteer appreciation party. Register for a volunteer shift online at http://signup.com/go/Mu1tmg.
