Help Shape the Future of Broad Ripple: BRVA Board Nominations Open
The Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) is seeking community-minded leaders to serve on its Board of Directors.
Broad Ripple is at an important moment. As our neighborhood continues to evolve, BRVA is working to strengthen community connections, support local businesses, enhance neighborhood quality of life, steward the Broad Ripple Farmers Market and our signature events, and help shape a vibrant future for our village.
We are looking for individuals who care deeply about Broad Ripple and want to contribute their time, talents, and perspectives to the work of community leadership.
We welcome candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. In particular, we are interested in individuals who bring:
- Strategic leadership experience
- Community engagement and relationship-building skills
- Financial oversight or business experience
- Experience serving neighborhood groups, nonprofits, schools, faith communities, or civic organizations
- Small business perspectives
- Arts and cultural leadership
- A commitment to collaboration and constructive problem-solving
We also encourage applications from individuals whose experiences and perspectives would strengthen the Board’s understanding of the diverse Broad Ripple community. This includes, but is not limited to, communities of color, renters, families with children, longtime residents, emerging community leaders, and others whose voices and lived experiences are not yet fully represented on the Board.
Board members are expected to attend regular board meetings (currently second Tuesday of the month), serve on at least one committee, and actively contribute to advancing BRVA’s mission and goals.
Most importantly, we are seeking people who are willing to listen, think strategically, work collaboratively, and help BRVA serve as a trusted and effective leader for the Broad Ripple community.

Process
- Candidates submit applications
- Applications are reviewed by the Governance Committee
- Based on application review, Governance Committee invites candidates to interview
- Governance Committee recommends candidates to the full Board for nomination
- The slate of nominated candidates are presented for election at the Annual Meeting on November 4, 2026
- Terms begin January 1, 2027
