Radishes with Butter and Salt

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette (or other artisan bread)
  • 1 bunch radishes
  • 1 handful fresh oregano (or substitute parsley, dill, or chives)
  • High quality butter (check out Tulip Tree’s cultured butter)
  • Sea salt or kosher salt

Instructions:

  1. Thinly slice the baguette and the radishes. Roughly chop the herbs.
  2. On each slice of bread, spread some butter. Top with radish slices, a few grains salt, and fresh herbs. Makes enough for 4-6 people.

Radish & Gorgonzola Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 head green cabbage
  • 1/2 head romaine lettuce
  • 8 to 10 radishes
  • Gorgonzola cheese crumbles (or Tulip Tree’s Larkspur cheese)
  • 1 recipe Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing

Instructions:

  1. Chop the cabbage and the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Slice the radishes.
  2. Make the Blue Cheese Dressing.
  3. Toss the vegetables the desired amount of dressing. To serve, top with Gorgonzola crumbles and fresh ground pepper. Makes enough for 4 people.

Note: I think you could easily use any kind of greens you like for this instead of the cabbage and romaine combo; although more delicate greens will wilt quicker once the dressing is added.
