Potted geraniums and petunias at Bloomers Greenhouse

Opening Day of the Summer Market

Based on comments from our customers, vendors and volunteers, everyone is looking forward to being outdoors for the Summer Market!! Lots of excitement about having the dogs participating, seeing lots of new and familiar faces!

Since we were lucky enough to secure our Lowe’s Parking Lot location again this summer, everything should look and feel familiar – parking, the music, our volunteers. Most of vendors will be in the same spots too but there are a few changes so be sure to check the Vendor Map before you come.

See you Saturday, 8 am – 12 noon, behind Lowe’s Home Improvement Center in Glendale! It will be fun!!!

Annual Tree Giveaway

Indiana State Representatives Greg Porter and Ed Delaney will be back for the annual opening day seedling giveaway. They will be set up at the southeast corner of the Market when we open at 8 am. Trees offered this year (provided by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources) are Tulip, Persimmon, Eastern White Pine, Buttonbush, Black Cherry, Red Oak, and Silver Maple.

First come, first served – limited quantity per family.

MUSICAL GUEST: North – Whobilados

Whobilados play a mix of lively traditional tunes and originals blending multi-part vocals, with varied instruments, for their highly listenable music.  Be entertained while you shop or take a break to sit and listen.

MUSICAL GUEST: South – Squirrel Butter

Squirrel Butter, a duo consisting of Charlie Beck Charmaine Slaven, musically explore old-time, bluegrass, blues, country, & Cajun genres on the banjo, guitar, fiddle, steel guitar, step-dance, and song. We’re happy to have them back at the Market!

Our musicians volunteer to perform at the Market, so tips are much appreciated!
