All Signs Point to Summer!
The Summer Solstice took place last Sunday. And just the day before, My Dad’s Sweet Corn showed up at the Market with a limited supply of the summer’s first sweet corn. The signs are unmistakable — Summer is here! We also saw raspberries, blackberries, cherries, and English shell peas last week, and lots more of all the good summer produce. Come see for yourself!
WE’LL BE OPEN JULY 4th!

WHAT’S COOKING: Peach and Shaved Fennel Salad with Red Pepper
Fennel is a truly underappreciated item in the market repertoire. It is very popular in Italian cooking for its unique anisette flavor. But its fresh crunchiness also lends itself to cold slaws and salads that are perfect for summer al fresco dining. This recipe pairs fennel with fresh sweet peaches which are in season now.

MUSICAL GUEST: North – Pat McBride
Enjoy music by Pat McBride this Saturday! Pat brings us folk rock originals along with standards and 60s favorites. His mix of tunes is always entertaining and very popular at the Market. Come listen to him sing and play while you browse the booths.
MUSICAL GUEST: South – Whobilados
Whobilados play a mix of lively traditional tunes and originals blending multi-part vocals, with varied instruments, for their highly listenable music. Be entertained while you shop or take a break to sit and listen.
Our musicians volunteer to perform at the Market, so tips are much appreciated!
