Full Hand on Break and ARPO out at Dog Olympics
Yes, Full Hand Farm is out this week taking a break before peak summer season; and ARPO is skipping this Saturday to hold their 20th Annual Dog Olympics at Broad Ripple Park. But the real news is about what IS at the Market this week! With just two more weeks of “spring” left, we’re seeing tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, squash, and now blueberries from our vendors. And although plant sales at Full Hand are done for the season, and selection is getting limited elsewhere, you can still find wonderful plants at the Market to finish off your gardens and yards. Grab some strawberries too, before they’re gone until next year!
Vendor Highlights for June 13, Week #2
VENDOR NEWS & UPDATES:
- Look for fresh produce like blueberries, zucchini, sugar snap peas, strawberries, rhubarb, scallions, lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, arugula, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, radishes, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, herbs, flowers, and farm fresh eggs!
- Christopher Farm will have broccolini, jericho romaine, green garlic, and sunflower bouquets this week.
- New-this-season – Rejoicing Vines and Zenward Wellness & Tea are here Weeks 2/4. Stop in and check out their offerings.

- ARPO is out this Saturday for their 20th Annual Dog Olympics at BR Park. Shop the Market early and then head on over to enjoy the competition!
- Barn Talk is out to replenish low stock

WHAT’S COOKING: Spaghetti alla Nerrano
I remember watching Stanley Tucci “In Search of Italy” several years ago and hearing him rave about his favorite pasta dish which was made with zucchini – Spaghetta alla Nerano. With zucchini in season (and it has a nice long season) it seemed appropriate to search out this recipe so you can make it on repeat all summer and into the fall. I know I will.
