Ready for Great Gardening?

Traditionally, post-Mother’s Day is the safe time to begin planting and this year is no exception to that rule. At the Market, our vendors have loads of gorgeous plants to get your flower beds, vegetable gardens, and herb gardens off to a great start. Plus we have Get Dirt Rich with us all this month for composted soil to kick-start your garden growth. While you’re shopping and dreaming your garden plans, load up on the best spring produce and grab a cup of coffee and a tasty breakfast too.

WHAT’S COOKING: Easy Rhubarb Cobbler

Rhubarb is ridiculously easy to cook, and cobbler is one of the easiest desserts to make. With its gorgeous ruby red fruit and fabulous flavors, this will definitely become a go-to recipe and make you a star at whatever gathering you bring it to. FUN FACT: Rhubarb is not a fruit – it’s a vegetable!

MUSICAL GUEST: North – Tilt-a-Squirrel

Having Tilt-a-Squirrel (with Robert Bruce Scott) to play for us this Saturday is a rare treat. They will be playing their usual eclectic mix including originals, classic rock, trad, jazz standards, even a tango!

MUSICAL GUEST: South – Proctor & Strunk

Kevin Strunk and Mark Proctor play a wide variety of folk, country, bluegrass, and light rock covers as well as originals on guitar and mandolin. They’re always a big hit. Listen while you breakfast this Saturday!

Our musicians volunteer to perform at the Market, so tips are much appreciated!
